A Clean, Stylish Design
X Communications has focused on creating a clean, professional and fresh design for the new Davy website. The content of the website and the visitor profiles were carefully considered in order to create a design that reflects the essence of the Davy rebranding while also focusing on the website target audiences. The design blends in seamlessly with the Davy rebranding process across all media.
Considering the Visitor Journey
The Information Architecture of the website and how the content is presented was completely overhauled in the redevelopment of www.davy.ie. A strong focus was placed on providing clear and distinct paths to information for a range of website visitors, enabling them to find exactly the information they need in a simple and logical manner.
A Firm Foundation
Semantic HTML, CSS and unobtrusive Javascript objects were used to build the different page templates for Davy. This facilitates fast-loading pages, which display across many browsers and platforms, facilitating an accessible web presence. The web pages are easy to build, maintain and develop.
New Features
Enhanced features were added to the site, the most exciting addition being the drop-down Market Movements feature. This allows visitors to access up-to-date highlights and information on stock markets and exchange rates, without cluttering the screen or distracting people more general information. SIFR was used to ensure a variety of headings and other content was able to stay "on brand" while still being easily updated and edited by the team at Davy.
